About

I love cycling, food, wine, exploring, history, writing, animals and laughing.

My name is Becca. I’m from Lincolnshire, England but currently living in Wiltshire for a while.

I’ve decided I quite like writing, I’ve no idea if I’m any good at it, I’ll let you be the judge of that. But I’ve decided to do what makes me happy. I’ve come to this conclusion because on April 3rd 2019 I was told I had cancer. I was 32. Less than a year later I’d completed treatment and I was preparing to move to Italy for three years for my husband’s work. It’s hard not to think of my life in two parts now, Before Cancer and After Cancer. Whilst I don’t want to let it define who I am, I can’t change the fact that I had it. I can’t forget the horrendous few months of treatment. I can’t take back the effect it had on those closest to me.

But I can change how I view life from now on. I can make the most of each day and be the best person that I can be. I can appreciate the small things in life, the things that make me and others smile and treasure the moments that shouldn’t be forgotten or passed by in a hurry. Life will never be the same again but that’s because I choose for it not to be. It’s a brand new day, a day that needs to be seized and explored to the full.
